Missing From Home

Missing From Home is a documentary film project focusing on the experience, thoughts and ideas of young people in care or at risk of going into care who run away or go missing.

The project continues our collaboration with the Youth Offending Service in Devon and will involve working with young people currently in care who are on statutory court orders, carers and a selection of adults who went through the care system.

Missing from Home aims to be a catalyst for a process of open dialogue about how we can achieve the highest possible care for the most vulnerable in our society. It will be a pro-active creative consultation project with young people in care with the aim of improving outcomes and reducing risks.

Encounters Associates Ben Yeger and Emilio Mula will be creating the film, & the the process of making the film will enable Service providers to explore some of the challenges that young people face in care and what provokes them into offending behaviour.
