Throughout July 2014 Encounters and Regen SW held a number of workshops across the South West for artists, and arts organisations on climate change and renewable energy. These were free events funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Centre for Business and Climate Solutions.
Activities during the workshops focused on developing an understanding of our relationship to energy and climate change, now and in the future, and an exploration of how we can form and use collaborations on this topic.
Sessions included:
- Visual presentations about latest renewable energy developments - solar, wave, wind, community energy
- Examples of arts/energy work across the UK
- Creative conversation and group enquiry about climate change and our personal responses
- Exploration on Joanna Macy’s Work that Re-connects
- Experimentation with latest renewable ‘toys’
- Creative ‘lab work’ to explore and unearth responses to presentations and dialogue
- Exploration of areas for creative collaborations
- Host organisation represented and involved
- Identifying support you might need
Each session ran from 9.30am to 5.00pm.
