TALKING YOUNG MEN
‘The boys are getting a lot out of it, particularly a sense of belonging. It’s a really meaningful experience, which they can hold with them for many years. It’s a very exciting process for us as a Service.’ Youth Offending Service Manager
The Talking Young Men programme works creatively and theraputically with young men between the ages of 13 and 18 who are at risk of offending, re-offending and anti-social behaviour.
A pilot of Talking Young Men took place in Exeter, Jan - June 2012, in collaboration with Devon Youth Offending Service funded by the Big Lottery fund. A free dissemination event about the project took place on 19th July in Exeter where the team shared their findings including a documentary film.
