Combatants for Peace Public Event
No Victory For Violence
Encounters Arts host a dialogue event with Combatants for Peace - a grass roots bi–national peace and reconciliation organisation from Israel and Palestine. 8 Israeli and 8 Palestinian members of CfP are touring the UK and will share a platform to tell their personal stories of transformation from violence to non-violence.

Artists Lab
Meeting the messy moments and fertile edges of engaged socio-ecological practice, explore your creative practice with others practitioners: get gritty, follow your curiosity, hone ideas...
The Encounters Artists Lab series is being offered as a practical, safe, creative space to explore work that often goes straight to participants / audience. It’s a chance to experiment, meet other practitioners, and share the edgier or delicate aspects of our creative practice.
New cross - disciplinary forms of work that you want to explore….. Ideas half formed, or that need a safe airing... Experiments that need time to refine with helpful friends... Activities just about ready to go public...
Dates: September 16, October 14, November 18, December 9, January 20, February 24, March 16.
Cost: Pay what you can

A Little Patch of Ground Performances
Encounters Arts’ Inter-generational and community food growing and performance project. This final performance and exhibition presented by the participants is the culmination of a cross-fertilisation of ideas, stories and experiences that has taken place since May. It tells an intimate and very human tale about what its like to live now at this time of ecological challenge and opportunity.

The Encounters Transition Youth Theatre
This new professionally led Youth Theatre, for 13-18yr olds, will create performances that respond to the joys and challenges of being human today. It is an opportunity to express through drama, writing, music and movement your inner-most ideas about our world in these times. We will be using a variety of theatre approaches including clowning, physical theatre, improvisation, live art, forum theatre and verbatim theatre to do this.
Date - Wednesday evenings from November 9th – March 28th plus 2 Saturdays
Cost - £5.50 per session (£3.50 concessions) including snacks
Venue – Studio 20, Dartington Space, Dartington Hall, Totnes
